A month ago I lent my camera to a family friend who needed it for the opening of her restaurant. Everything seemed to be good. Now after one month and today, the camera was still not in my hands and the bad news surfaced. It was lost. Yes and I know it sucks…
To be honest I (and my family) have every reason to be hysterically mad with that incident (although it was a good fam.friend). But what pisses me the most is the fact that it left me with no camera at all (except mobile phone cameras). Do you know how miserable it is not to have a camera? If no, let me give you an exampel. Tomorrow Im going to Wordcamp 09 in Makati. The event is a big event in w/c only about 8-10 countries are eligible to celebrate it. And for Philippines to be one of them, it just feels great.
It would enable me to see and meet the industry leaders and experts, fellow bloggers and cool teenagers or old people. Now the part that sucks is that, I wouldn’t be able to take pictures with them! Big deal? Heck, yes! Some people dont mind it but whats the point of attending an event, if you dont have a remembrance anyway? It doesn’t make it futile but it just disables the huge chunk of it…
And yes, how much is a good camera? 10,000 Pesos? it’s a big money for me! After all the scarcity in camera occured when I am about to attend numerous events and conferences this month.. Freakin douchefag!
