Last week I went to a mall near us and found out that there’s this new thing called as Steakhouse Baconator from Wendys. Obviously I tried it out thats why I’m writing (and you’re reading) this lame review.
Disclaimer: I’m not a food blogger. This ain’t a food blog.
Upon seeing the name of this product, I immediately remembered two burgers, one is the Baconator itself and the other one is the steakhouse burger from Burger King. I thought it was a combination of both.
So this steakhouse burger costs like 240PHP for an ala carte meal and 280 for a complete one. Obviously Wendy’s burgers are expensive even though they don’t *really have the best tasting burgers in the world. I ordered one, took it home and here is how it looked like:

So after eating the product, I didn’t really know what made it different from the original Baconator product. Just like the Baconator burgers, it consisted of buns (obviously), two 4oz. beef patties, two slices of American cheese, six strips of bacon and mayo. Oh, I forgot, it also had onion rings in it, some mushrooms, plus some sort kind of a sweet-tasting bacon sause (like the one in BK’s bacon burgers).
The patties were dry as expected but it was good (it was always good, dick!). The bacon as usual was undercooked. The onion rings were kind of like the unique thing here because I don’t see a lot of fast food establishments do it with their burgers. Anyway, it was altogether a good combination although Wendy’s Fairview don’t really do well with packaging their burgers so it always ends up messy whenever you try to open it.
Overall I found it delicious, really, I’m not kidding! I’m used to burgers that have tomatoes and lettuce and eggplant but having this all meat stuff is good too!
Conclusion
Well, Baconator was never a healthy burger. It has a calorie content of almost a thousand and experts from Yahoo! feel its THE worst burger ever. But I’m young so I can eat it.
Just like the double damn from KFC,, this burger is not advisable to people with heart problems or those who are close to dying. You get tons of saturated fat, you kill your kidney with almost 3000 mg of sodium, what more can I say?
But its still a good burger so you can always try it once and then see if you can handle it. I personally love it although I don’t really see it being in Wendy’s menu forever. I mean its even surprising that when you search for “Wendy’s Steakhouse Baconator”, you will not find anything! Maybe this menu is just available here in Philippines (lol).
Chill…
