ETBilu – The Twitter User You’re Unknowingly Following

ETBilu – The Twitter User You’re Unknowingly Following

I don’t know but there’s a pretty good chance by now that you are following ETBilu on Twitter without you’re knowledge. I know, after I woke up I noticed that all of a sudden I’m following this guy that I don’t even know. I unfollowed him but shortly after arriving in office I noticed that I am following him again! wtf?

ETBilu twitter

105,000+ followers for this guy? seriously? What’s more surprising is the trend/growth that ETBilu is receiving. Look:

That’s about 25,000+% increase in growth!  I don’t know how it happens and its not really a big issue. However it could be a cause of concern too because the guy just seems to be legit (based on my own analysis of his profile) yet he’s getting that tremendous growth that even him might not be aware of.

I don’t know. Its up for Twitter to figure out but one thing I know that I did before getting this guy is use Tweetdeck on my desktop. So maybe Tweetdeck is the culprit of all of this? Hmmm.

P.S. This guy has a scary twitter profile (background, avatar) by the way!  #EtBilu #Et Bilu

Earthquake hits Mindoro, Effects Slightly Felt in Manila

Earthquake hits Mindoro, Effects Slightly Felt in Manila

Just around 6:30 pm today, an earthquake hit Mindoro. The quake was said to have a strength of 5.7 magnitude and it was mainly felt in Mindoro and Batangas, although some people were reporting that there were some effects as well in Manila, particularly here in Quezon City.

Mindoro Earthquake

I’m currently in the office as of this writing and about 60% of the people here are claiming that they felt the earthquake. The 5.7 magnitude earthquake scares the hell out of me because according to this site, Manila may be  (maby) the next. Let’s just hope and pray for everyone’s safety.

Taylor Swift’s “Unreal” Manila Concert Experience

Taylor Swift’s “Unreal” Manila Concert Experience

Taylor Swift’s concert here in Manila last February 19 is simply unreal. :)

This post is quite late since its been a week already since the concert but I just want to put it here anyways since its my blog and no one cares right? Anyway, I went to this event alone thanks to my friends who were late and I came at the Araneta Col.at around 4:45. Even before arriving, I knew that I was already late even though the concert starts at 8pm.

I was right as there were tons of people already lined up to the said event. Around 6pm, they started letting people in. I really really really was disappointed that they have sold tickets more than what’s available. The result? Its hard to move inside. Seat number was not taken into consideration too but still I was able to pick a good spot although it was farther than where I’m supposed to be.

So what happened next? Taylor Swift performed for next 2.5 hours singing 10+ songs and the rest was history. It was damn unreal because we just normally see people of Taylor’s Caliber on TV and internet (YouTube) but seeing her in person was phenomenal.

I have compiled my Taylor Swift Manila concert pics here

She was very very accommodating, she was shaking hands with a lot of people and she even accepted a bouquet of flower from someone. I wish it should’ve been me eh.  The contest ended at 10:30ish and it was quite a good experience although I was not as close to her as what I would’ve wanted to be. Lessons learned? 3 things:

  • Buy Tickets on FIRST day – I tried buying VIP for like the 3rd day since tickets began selling and it was too late. There’s nothing to blame other than myself.
  • If opportunity arises, take it! – Opportunities like someone selling the ticket for 20k are hard to find, so I should’ve invested in it.
  • Better gadgets – I thought I had good gadgets with me. I have a 10 megapixels Sony Digital Camera (you can’t use pro cameras) and I brought my Flip Mino camcorder with me. The shots were fine but I realized its far from superb. So the next time around I should bring better sets of gadgets (either invest in one or borrow).

I do certainly hope Taylor Swift will have another concert here in Manila, or any part in Philippines. I would certainly be more prepared than I was a week back. But still Taylor Swift’s concert here in Manila is one of the best I have attended. I love Taylor!

Taylor Swift Concert

Taylor Swift Concert

Taylor Swift’s concert here in Manila is rapidly approaching. The date set was February 19 2010 and will be held at the Araneta Coliseum. I am so freakin’ excited!

Are tickets sold out?

In my last post about Taylor Swift Concert in Manila being sold out, I talked about how tickets got sold out really quickly. By now, I’m assuming that every seat is already sold out although you can still get a general admission ticket IF you’re lucky.

And if you’re reading this post thinking of purchasing a seat, then let me tell you that the possibility of you getting a seat is very slim. And also please, if you’re going to try and register, do so by phone. Call Ticketnet instead of trying their useless online reservation. Trust me, reserving via phone is the better way.

I really really wish I got the VIP pass for Taylor Swift’s concert.  But still I like what I have.

Taylor Swift Concert in Manila Sold Out

Taylor Swift Concert in Manila Sold Out

Back in August, I was informed that there was a possibility that Taylor Swift is going to hold a concert here in Philippines. Back then the rumored date was November 2010.  The date didn’t materialize and everything was brought back again into planning stage.

Fast forward to November, I remembered about the concert and immediately did a simple google search for terms “Taylor Swift live in Manila”. I was right, its official, Taylor Swift is coming here in Philippines to perform her Speak Now world tour. They scheduled it February 19 at the Araneta Coliseum.

I knew the possibility of tickets being sold out in a few weeks, if not months so I immediately went to ticketnet to reserve a patron seat. Much to my surprise, I was contacted back saying that the seat was already sold out. Its incredible because reservation of the tickets has just been opened to the public last November 22 and 2 days after that, every VIP has already been sold out. wtf?

So  I called them instead (calling is better than online reservation, trust me) and they told me that there are only few spots left. Of course I grabbed the best available seat and took a deep sigh of relief (or the opposite).

Taylor Swift Manila Concert is Sold Out by Now

The last time I checked it, only the Gen Admission was available. Yes , 5 other seats were sold out by now. If you’re looking to buy a ticket, then I suggest you grab that seat now. Its better to have one than none.

If you’re looking for good seats (like me), the only hope for you is for someone to cancel his reservation or refund his ticket. In that way, a spot will open. And for now, the only workaround for that is for you to call ticketnet everyday (2 times a day if possible) and continually ask for the available seats. Thats how they suggested it to me.

February 19 2011 is still 3 months from now and inevitable circumstances can always happen so the chances of someone returning his ticket or just selling it (albeit for a higher price) is very possible. Still you have to consider that there are hundreds, if not thousands of other Taylor’s fanatic who are equally eagerly awaiting for that. So goodluck!

KFC Double Down Review

KFC Double Down Review

A week back I wrote a stupid rant on KFC Double Down’s sporadic availability in this country. I mean typically you can get KFC Double Down when you get to KFC early and if you try your luck to buy one during afternoon or night then your wasting your time.

Ok so I got my hands in it last Monday. I then bought again the next day up to Wednesday. So with that I can now write a review about this artery-clogging meal from KFC.

Disclosure: I’m not a food blogger nor is this blog a food blog so if you’re not contented with my review, then get the fuck out! :)

Ok so we all know that having a “sandwich” that doesn’t have a bun is something that’s unique and interesting. And when you’re talking about chicken breasts essentially replacing them, you know you have to try it out asap.

KFC Double Down consists a pair of human chicken breasts, two pieces of half-cooked bacon, some special sauce and Monterey Jack cheese. Ok here are some pics:

KFC Double Down

You’re freaking right, the first two images are not from me. I stole them from this awesome food blog but the third image is mine. I don’t have any camera that time other than the low-res cellphone camera so thats the best shot that I can take.

When you take a bite you can immediately taste the breasts and the pepper and the cheese. Surprisingly enough because those three are so tasty, you cannot even notice that there’s a bacon inside. But then I wouldn’t mind if KFC Philippines would do a better job of cooking the bacon properly.

Conclusion

You’d think its funny to have this conclusion already without even reviewing each and every ingredients of the product but who cares! This ain’t a definitive review.

Most of my friends say that KFC”s Double Down tastes good and is mouthwatering. However, most of them feel that they can’t really eat this as much as they do eat fries or some chocolate cakes because its just too greasy and makes your stomach sick.

I kinda agree with them and considering the “sandwich” contains 1380 sodium content which is nearly what the body needs in a day, I can say that this food is not for everyone, especially for those old bed-ridden citizens who have heart problems.

It tastes good and I don’t mind eating it 15 times in one month but its still up to you to decide on whether your body can take the disease that Double Down gives. chill…

First 2 weeks in WorldPartner

First 2 weeks in WorldPartner

Some of you might have been aware that I finally got employed. Last June21, I signed a contract with foreign company called WorldPartner Inc. and started immediately.

My designation was quite a bit far from what I finished in College but is close to what I’ve been doing online. I’m an online marketing assistant in there in w/c my main tasks revolve around creating campaigns for this specific screen capture software. I coordinate with the head of marketing and do all those things that I’m not new to like blogging, creating content, I’m even occasionally tasked to modify layouts of the current website (w/c is not really part of my job) and also do some software testing.

So far so good, I was surprised that they gave my salary last month even though I just worked for like 6 and a half days. The best part of my work is that I don’t have to wake up early and obviously the worst part of it is that I have to go home very late at night (1pm – 10 pm).

Right now I’m adjusting to my scheds. As most of you know, I started several of my online projects, dropped a ton of money and even had 10 some pages of plans and strategy so with work, it all kind of like slowed down.

And of course I’m practicing on cutting down on my spending like eating Wham Burger every other day and stuffs like that. That’s it for now and uhm yea…
