A week back I wrote a stupid rant on KFC Double Down’s sporadic availability in this country. I mean typically you can get KFC Double Down when you get to KFC early and if you try your luck to buy one during afternoon or night then your wasting your time.
Ok so I got my hands in it last Monday. I then bought again the next day up to Wednesday. So with that I can now write a review about this artery-clogging meal from KFC.
Disclosure: I’m not a food blogger nor is this blog a food blog so if you’re not contented with my review, then get the fuck out!
Ok so we all know that having a “sandwich” that doesn’t have a bun is something that’s unique and interesting. And when you’re talking about chicken breasts essentially replacing them, you know you have to try it out asap.
KFC Double Down consists a pair of human chicken breasts, two pieces of half-cooked bacon, some special sauce and Monterey Jack cheese. Ok here are some pics:

You’re freaking right, the first two images are not from me. I stole them from this awesome food blog but the third image is mine. I don’t have any camera that time other than the low-res cellphone camera so thats the best shot that I can take.
When you take a bite you can immediately taste the breasts and the pepper and the cheese. Surprisingly enough because those three are so tasty, you cannot even notice that there’s a bacon inside. But then I wouldn’t mind if KFC Philippines would do a better job of cooking the bacon properly.
Conclusion
You’d think its funny to have this conclusion already without even reviewing each and every ingredients of the product but who cares! This ain’t a definitive review.
Most of my friends say that KFC”s Double Down tastes good and is mouthwatering. However, most of them feel that they can’t really eat this as much as they do eat fries or some chocolate cakes because its just too greasy and makes your stomach sick.
I kinda agree with them and considering the “sandwich” contains 1380 sodium content which is nearly what the body needs in a day, I can say that this food is not for everyone, especially for those old bed-ridden citizens who have heart problems.
It tastes good and I don’t mind eating it 15 times in one month but its still up to you to decide on whether your body can take the disease that Double Down gives. chill…
