This Blog Will Look Awesome Soon…
Although this is a personal blog and is not visible to 99% of internet users, I’d still like to proclaim that this blog will look “heavenly” soon. I’d like to thank the super popular specie Matt Mullenwegg for letting me use this theme which probably is over $1000+ in value and aesthetic. Of course, the big plan is for me to heavily customize it, make sure that it would no longer be associated to Matt himself.
My designers are currently up on this task so let’s see.

Some Things in Life Can Make You Smile Really
Filed under: Ramblings | Tags: | August 25th, 2010
It depends on who you are but for me I’m just happy about the newest development that I got from the company’s admin. Look: (Some parts are blurred out so to avoid me getting into any legal issues)

I really cannot call it a promotion or raise in any kind but I’m just happy my first ever splash into the real world workplace is going really good. I got this raise all after one month and 7 days which is pretty really sweet.
It still does not get me out of the “lowest paid employee” in the company tag but I’m gratified for two things. First is that, the company appreciates my efforts and thinks I’m efficient and second, is I started working on a good foot, meaning I was able to at least minimize all the jitters that first timers undergo when they face their first job. I’m really happy with the second point because I really really think I would screw up big time.
Anyhow that’s it. Now back on delaying my gratification.

Facebook Usually Reveals the Worst in You
Filed under: Uncategorized | Tags: | August 14th, 2010
Well I’ve been an avid user of Facebook. Maybe I’m not like the average person who spends like 5+ hours a day in it but still I do spend at least an hour with that platform.
Lurking and exploring in Facebook, it doesn’t take that much to see that most people seemed to lose their class in Facebook alone through status messages. I mean how many of your friends say “inexplicable” things in Facebook that you don’t hear them say in real life? How many of them seemed to act like some bad ghost spirit was embedded in their body through Facebook? Count!
I do have my moments in Facebook but as soon as I get things up back in normal, I make sure that I do prepare for massive scandal control kind of thing. That’s actually bad since I’ve always claimed that I’m a “classy” guy, one who’s never fazed with any obstacles. Oh well, still I feel lucky I don’t spill my emotions as much as other people do.
Anyhow thats the whole point of this post. I think Facebook brings out the worst in you. I mean things that you’ll never say n real life or to your friends, you can express them all with Facebook. I better have to be more prepared with this. Make sure that my computer and internet is turned off when I’m pissed off.
Chill.

I Love to Have a Blog like This
Know what? I really really feel good that I have a blog where I can just drop anything without having to worry someone would read it. I know its ironic but since being fortunate enough to make money from all my blogs I realized that the intrinsics of blogging isn’t really there. The spontaneity of expressing something with full emotions and heart is something thats still more pleasing than all financial rewards.
Just today I put a Nuffnang banner in this blog, not to make money but because they’ve been some sort kind of a partner for the business for the past few months. I just like to show support for them. Who cares if this blog makes $-123 every month?

Lowest Paid Employee in the Company
I just realized that I was the lowest paid employee in the company Im working with..
Initially before that, I thought my initial compensation was good until i did an interview with Erwin. Anyways, still its the best compensation I’ve had for the initial contract. I mean chinabank and accenture offered almost in the same figures but do keep in mind that they are farther than WP. Also meals are not free, which I means I have to provide it myself… (and there’s no free latte!)
Its all about working my way up and eventually lets see how things will turn out.
On a side note, I have heard that Chris Paul wants out of New Orleans so it just means New York now have a chance anew.. yipee!

How I Cope Up With my Hapontukin Moments – Your Definitive Guide
Filed under: Uncategorized | Tags: | July 21st, 2010
So each and everyone suffers from this syndrome, yes I call it a syndrome, just because of the fact that it’s almost unavoidable.Did you hear me say the word “almost?” If you do, it means that it’s unavoidable.
It means that everyone can still combat this.
A little background about me. Back in my school days, I was not really like most of my classmates who spend almost the entire afternoon in class sleeping or taking a nap that my professors would usually just ignore them. However its still a problem for me because it robs off my focus so badly that at the end of the afternoon, I would feel like I’ve learn nothing.
When I started working, that has become a bigger problem because in work, you tend to exert more effort (more effort that studies obviously) and with that you get burned out pretty quickly.
(Note: Fortunately I don’t have any pic where I was caught sleeping in the middle of the day, If I have I make sure it’ll not spread. )

The truth about the matter is that when hapontukin sets in, it’s hard to battle it, so what I do first and fast is to try avoiding it. How? Well being in office or school, you can always have that feeling that you’re getting into that moment. So why not prevent it rather than cure it?
Ok enough fluffing here, here are several steps I could advice to you on how you can cope up with it.
1. Take a good morning meal
This where it all starts out. Taking a very nice morning meal will eventually set the tone right for you for the rest of the day. By saying good meal, I do not mean “heavy meal”, what I intend to say is a meal that you think you can enjoy.
For instance during my early days in office, I rarely eat breakfast in the morning. I usually settle for noodles and stuffs because of fear of getting late. Eventually when I started eating real breakfast, I realized that it made me more energetic, more aware and more importantly more efficient in work.
I’m not bringing up any medical studies here but I’m talking from experience. And I’m sure this is really a good start.
2. Take Enervon.
Come on, this is common sense right here right?
Anyways, I like to take one after I take my morning meal. The reasoning for this is that Enervon helps a lot in making us focused and efficient whether we’re in school or work. That’s why its called Multivitamins right? It’s because it has multiple vitamins in it.
3. What to do after lunch?
Now this is the tricky part. Studies suggests that its the normal reaction of our body to feel sleepy after lunch or during up to 3-4 pm, meaning its not a disorder, nor a disease, it’s normal (ok im wrong for calling it a syndrome).
There can be two options here. First is the term not so popularly known as “power nap”. This is basically just trying to catch a quick nap after lunch. When I was having my OJT in a government firm I always do this. Basically we have a 1 hour lunch and then I try to eat my lunch as fast as possible (15-20 minutes) and then take a nap. You’ll be really surprised how powerful a quick nap is. Studies say that its even better than a coffee!
If taking a quick nap is not an option, the best thing to do is walk or have a little exercise. Now don’t do this immediately after taking lunch. Give yourself at least 3-5 minutes of break and then try to move around. This is a good way to combat sleepiness and eventually later on drooling, yucks!
4. Afternoon routine – Make fun with/of your friends
Some people do have a harder time during the afternoon rather than after lunch. 3pm is usually the dreaded time for sleepiness and for me I develop a routine over the years wherein I would actually walk out of my workspace, go to my friends (in the other dept or other part of the office) and then make fun (or embarrass) of them.

Hahaha, it’s quite a bit evil I know, but Im doing this for two things. First is that laughter is one of the better medicine for sleepiness. By doing this, we’re making fun so we’re getting away from that snoozy feeling.
Second reason is that most of the time, my friends are usually very serious at those times and I always always find pleasure when being annoying focused people. They get pissed off at me but at the end they understand. It helps both parties since we’re trying to move away from that sleepiness sensation.
Now just one caution: Make sure you’re making fun of your friends, not to the other people you’re not really close with.
Conclusion
So just to put together everything in here let me use the required line for this contest. “When hapontukin sets in, I just try to have fun and do things that can make my body and mind go alive without having to force it“.
To end this, I just like to mention that it’s all up to you. Some people feel contented abusing coffee, most don’t. Some people do power nap so well (that’s me), some don’t. It varies I must say. So when hapontukin sets in… (finish it with your own line)…

Maybe It’s time for Me to Move to a New Direction
Filed under: Prose | Tags: | July 17th, 2010
Contrary to what many people feel, my love life has been alive since the 2nd trimester of my 1st year college. Of course being “in-love” varies differently for various people. For some its being in a relationship, for some it’s satisfying sexual desire and for some, well there’s really a lot so I wouldn’t go on here and enumerate gazillion of variations.
Anyways, I don’t know. I’ve been always a guy who believes in the pureness of things or whatnot and I’ve been really focused on doing what is right.
So I’ve been doing, what I was suppose to be doing for nearly 4 years now. I express things based on how I think it should presented and I try to be as neutral as possible. But now there seems to be some cloudy things going on in that aspect and all signs right now are pointing to one this one thing…
moving on to a new direction.
I don’t know, the other day I was browsing Facebook and found out something that made me stop for a while. Most of the times, things went my way. I mean after my 3rd year of college I thought everything would end, but it didn’t and I was really grateful for that one more year.
And now Im smelling things differently. What was super into my advantage was no longer the case and things are kind off like heading opposite directions now. That thin line that binds us together has become thinner, technically almost non-existent anymore. She’s going left and I’m going right and looks like it time to pack up.

First 2 weeks in WorldPartner
Some of you might have been aware that I finally got employed. Last June21, I signed a contract with foreign company called WorldPartner Inc. and started immediately.
My designation was quite a bit far from what I finished in College but is close to what I’ve been doing online. I’m an online marketing assistant in there in w/c my main tasks revolve around creating campaigns for this specific screen capture software. I coordinate with the head of marketing and do all those things that I’m not new to like blogging, creating content, I’m even occasionally tasked to modify layouts of the current website (w/c is not really part of my job) and also do some software testing.
So far so good, I was surprised that they gave my salary last month even though I just worked for like 6 and a half days. The best part of my work is that I don’t have to wake up early and obviously the worst part of it is that I have to go home very late at night (1pm – 10 pm).
Right now I’m adjusting to my scheds. As most of you know, I started several of my online projects, dropped a ton of money and even had 10 some pages of plans and strategy so with work, it all kind of like slowed down.
And of course I’m practicing on cutting down on my spending like eating Wham Burger every other day and stuffs like that. That’s it for now and uhm yea…

Finally.. I rank no.1 for my name…
*faints*..
Google doesn’t really like my blog. In fact, a couple of years back I was sandboxed. And then they dropped my Pagerank from 2 to 0 despite having 15,000 backlinks. I have one site which does have less than 5000 backlinks yet they’re PR3. I’m not selling links nor doing blackhat SEO (like I used to) but still Google seems to hate it..
Not anymore I guess. After like 0.75 years of focusing on ranking no.1 for my name, I finally did it.. You can call me shallow but i don’t care.. heheheh.. Look:
See that? heheh, 2 sites on page 1 of Google.
Well Im ecstatic mainly because its hard to outrank Facebook and Twitter for your name. Why not do a Gurgle search on your name and see that your facebook or twitter ranks no.1. Second is that in my melvinblog.com, there’s no keywords at all stating “Melvin Dichoso”. There’s Melvin but no surname. and add the fact Google doesn’t like my blog.. Now my personal blog was created for that reason actually. But then its just a personal blog so there’s not much bearing for me..
There’s not that much to say but for a search marketer like me it means a lot.
Now my next quest is to rank no. for the term “melvin” which is my name..
